I rededicated my life to God fully back in 2002 which since I have been walking strong with the Lord. I had been praying about what the Lord wanted me to do. Moses had his staff, Samson his strength and a jaw bone of a donkey and David had his sling. All I have is this paper and pen. Then I felt really inspired by the words, "That's all you need, give me what you have and I will bless and use them. So I dedicated my hand, pen and paper to the Lord and have been writing ever since. Angel Lester

This is a group for those suffering from depression and/or suicidal ideation (thinking about suicide) and those who support them. I am not a professional. I have only seen the need to have a compassionate, non-judgmental discussion on this topic for some time. It's been badly mishandled in churches. We have had people in our family, extended family, and circles of friends who have been affected by depression and suicidal thoughts. It's time to help. I'm currently learning how to provide better support by becoming field advocate for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, but still this is a secular resource.
If you need to speak with someone right now, go here for several hotlines available.
I've done a series on my podcast called "Depression Abounding in Hope" here:
Depression: Abounding in Hope--What's My Problem?
Depression: Abounding in Hope--First Things First
Depression: Abounding in Hope--Bible Examples of Paul, Hannah, Elijah, David, Naomi, Even Jesus
Depression: Abounding in Hope--Conclusion
What I'm currently reading:
Always, Only Good: A Journey of Faith Through Mental Illness
Suicidal Ideation: A Biblical Perspective for Counselors
Blog Post: Biblical Meditation--What Does It Look Like? (with links to many audio scripture meditations on various topics)

This is a group for those with Type 1 Diabetes, or their caregivers. Our daughter was diagnosed at 10 years of age, in 2016. We've tried to empower our daughter so that she does not feel victimized by this disease. She's been in ads and commercials for Dexcom G6, had her diabetes awareness art featured in newspapers, books, and magazines, and has been interviewed for Diabetes Awareness month via radio. We have an outdated YouTube channel called Injectagirl: Type 1 Superhero. We've not added much to it recently, but it's good for basic information and tips for someone new to this journey. I'm also the Wyoming Family Advocate for the DKA Awareness Campaign via Beyond Type 1.
Feel free to post your tips, questions, product reviews, and prayer requests here!

This is a group for homeschoolers. Share tips, great resources, encouragement, freebies, ask questions!
I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 (2 have graduated, and our last is a high school sophomore). We have been at this since about 2001. I've used all sorts of things: BJU, Abeka, Rod & Staff, Time4Learning, Acellus/Power Homeschool, Easy Peasy All-In-One Homeschool, Khan Academy, Sing, Spell, Read & Write, and SchoolhouseTeachers.com...and more that I'm forgetting!
I've worked as Advertising & Sales Team Facilitator for The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine since 2016. I've been a speaker for various homeschool conventions and retreats for Valley Homeschool Association in Scottsbluff, NE, as well as Homeschoolers of Wyoming.
Listen to homeschooling interviews that I did on the Coffee Break Podcast at KCMI here:

This podcast makes it easy to have your quiet time! I put this together with busy women in mind. We read a scripture portion, do some scripture writing and memory work, read from several public domain devotionals like Streams in the Desert, and close with a hymn text/Valley of Vision excerpt and prayer. All in about 20 minutes!
